Description
We are hiring multiple remote C++ software engineers to join a 150-person company with a flat hierarchy that values quality, innovation, and standardization. Enjoy flexible work hours, no fixed meetings, and a salary of at least £75,000 in your first year and at least £110,000 in your second year.

These roles can be fulfilled remotely from anywhere in Europe – but not further afield.

The development environment is heavily centered around C++, with most software written in this language, along with occasional assembler glue code and Python for build scripts. They stay current with the latest compiler versions, such as Visual C++ and Xcode, and adopt new C++ features quickly.  Their commitment to the C++ community includes participating in ISO/IEC standardization and sponsoring the Standard C++ Foundation.

The codebase heavily utilizes Boost libraries and features a custom library enhancing iteration. They have developed a cross-platform library for macOS and Windows and custom reference-counting and persistence libraries. Their advanced bug-reporting infrastructure ensures automatic error reporting and analysis.

C++ Software Engineer Essential Requirements

  • Solid understanding of C++
  • Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures
  • Degree or higher in fields such as Computer Science, Physics, Maths, or similar
  • PhD qualifications are particularly desirable
  • Willing to commit a morning or afternoon to a coding challenge

C++ Software Engineer Desirable Skills

  • Expertise in macOS and Windows
  • Cross-platform development experience
  • Knowledge of computer vision and image processing
  • Experience with graphics, OpenGL, DirectX
  • Skills in reverse engineering
