A Software Engineer in Test position has opened in a company with the feel of a startup but with the backing of a major parent organisation. The successful Software Engineer will be working to test a variety of different technologies, including Windows web applications, firmware for products that controlling / interact with scientific instrumentation used within renewables.
You would be working in a small software team, testing a range of highly successful products. Due to the nature of the work, the code needs to be of the highest quality… that’s where you fit in.
This role gives you the chance to kickstart formal testing and the work you do will set the precedent for testing in this company moving forwards. They are flexible with the language you use for testing - C#, C++ or Python – whichever you see fit.
The ideal Software Test Engineer will be open to learning new technologies. You will be automating as much as possible, where appropriate.
Required:
- Experience testing windows web (or desktop) applications
- Experience scripting with Python, C# or similar
