Description
A cutting-edge engineering company is seeking a Security Manager to join their team on a fixed-term basis until 2028, with potential for extension. This is an exciting opportunity to shape security operations in a critical, fast-paced environment where compliance and innovation are closely intertwined.

What you’ll be doing:
As Security Manager, you'll oversee all aspects of physical security — from managing access control and CCTV systems to updating alarm infrastructure and securing documentation. You'll be responsible for site security audits, responding to incidents, and maintaining robust records of personnel movement.

You’ll also be expected to interpret and apply government security standards (e.g., Gov Standard 007), translating them into practical procedures. The role involves collaborating with the IT and Personal Security teams to ensure asset protection and compliance, as well as providing training and ongoing support to security personnel.

Additional responsibilities include:
  • Alarm response (on a rota, 1 week in 4, including weekends)
  • Physical access control (including locks, alarm resets, and CCTV usability)
  • Ensuring compliance with UK Government security policies and audits
  • Supporting the onboarding and legal clearance process
  • Providing guidance within a manufacturing environment
What we’re looking for:
  • 3 to 5+ years’ experience in a similar security management role
  • Strong working knowledge of UK Government security standards
  • SC or DV clearance (must be maintained)
  • Previous experience in highly audited environments
What’s on offer:
  • 32 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays)
  • Excellent company benefits
  • Join a respected and forward-thinking high-tech engineering business
  • Hybrid flexibility
