- Description
- Head of Product Management- Engineering
This varied role will essentially be running a small business unit within a larger expanding hi-tech engineering organisation. You will manage a team of sub systems leaders and designers making key decisions which will formulate the core of the overall product, defining the ongoing strategy within your team.
Essentially you will need to make strategic decisions based around quality and cost working with complex technology encompassing electronics, mechanical, software and physics principles. One of your first jobs will be to reduce the number of parts and variants that go into making the overall sub systems helping to define a more formalised process that will be critical to the development of products for many years to come.
Based out of a brand-new state for the art facility this role is pivotal in driving forward their ambitious plans to expand and continue to dominate their sector. You will review products and data and put in place road maps for the future technology used within the business over the next 3-5-10 years.
Although you will join a world leading brand you will get the opportunity and freedom to make big decisions at a fast pace without some of the red tape associated with other industries.
You will not physically design anything in this role as it is a managerial position, but it is important that you have a strong understanding of electronics and mechanical design.
For this role we are looking for:
A degree in electronics or another technical engineering discipline.
Experience of managing teams and making strategic decisions with expertise in the design of multi-disciplinary products across a full development life cycle. These products will involve complex electronics/mechanical and software components.
A strong understanding of product quality and cost.
This is a new role within the business and therefore salary is dependent on experience.
