Software QA Engineer (Python)

£35-60k

Software QA Engineers with strong automation experience scripting in Python are needed to join a reputable company with a renowned worldwide presence whose clientele include large, house-hold names across a range of industries.

The Software QA Engineers will be joining a laid-back/collaborative environment, working on a cool product with little red tape and no micromanagement. Every engineer contributes to the overall design and architecture of the company’s product. 

Working in agile/scrum teams of around 5-8 people, Software QA Engineers will be working closely with developers in multi-disciplinary teams testing (and occasionally developing) software across the company’s technology stack. You will be working with software that interacts very closely with hardware, not being developed by any other companies. You might be testings APIs, management applications and user interfaces in addition to low level embedded software..

You will be creating QA tests for new features that will be run on the company’s physical product. Therefore, the QA Engineers will need a similar testing background as opposed to web/application testing etc.

Software Test Automation requirements:

  • Strong Python experience
  • Experience with software automation infrastructure tools e.g. Jenkins, Docker, Salt etc.
  • Windows and/or Unix
  • Networks (NAS/SAN preferred)
  • Client-server environment
