- Description
- PCB Design Engineer
£55,000 – £65,000 + excellent pension & benefits
This is a rare opportunity to join one of the world’s most accomplished PCB design teams, producing some of the most technically demanding boards in the industry. The group regularly places at the top of Siemens’ global design competitions, with multiple award-winning boards to its name.
The team works on advanced, high-reliability products used in mission-critical industrial environments. Projects typically involve boards with 18–26+ layers, thousands of BGAs, and high-speed interfaces, giving engineers the chance to push their skills on some of the most complex challenges available anywhere.
The role:
- End-to-end PCB design for rugged, high-performance systems.
- Working closely with hardware, mechanical and manufacturing engineers to optimise layouts.
- Applying best practice for signal integrity, power distribution, and manufacturability.
- Contributing to design reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What they’re looking for:
- At least 5 years’ PCB design experience.
- Strong background with Siemens EDA Xpedition. Experience with other tools may be considered, but Xpedition users will have a smoother transition.
- Solid understanding of high-speed, multi-layer designs and modern interfaces (DDR4/5, PCIe, Gigabit Ethernet, etc.).
- A logical problem-solver who thrives on technically complex work.
Why join?
Candidates will be joining a genuinely world-class team of designers, working on boards that few organisations can match in scale or complexity, within a friendly and collaborative group that has a long-standing reputation for excellence. The role offers a competitive salary of £55k–£65k, a 10% pension, 25 days holiday, a wide range of additional benefits, and relocation assistance where required.
