This is a small, very successful company developing high-value, low-volume products primarily for research establishments across the world.

This position will suit an experienced FPGA or Electronic Design Engineer with a knack for innovation (they have won a number of awards) and over 10 years of broad experience. You will lead the design and development of cutting-edge electronic hardware and systems, taking them from concept to manufacturing.

The main hands-on element of this job is FPGA firmware, but as you will be leading others once up to speed, a broad understanding of other areas such as digital board design and analog is required to work on architectural design and systems-level specification. Any experience in imaging, sensors, and physics will be particularly useful.
