Description
Systems Engineering Manager

As a Systems Engineering Manager, you will gain exposure to all phases of project execution, working with complex products used by clients worldwide. The product range is constantly evolving and is primarily utilized within the renewable energy industry.

This company designs and manufactures most of its products on-site, giving you the opportunity to work on projects from concept to completion while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Despite being a relatively small business, it benefits from the backing of a larger group, allowing you to make a real technical impact while gaining exposure to a global network.

You will be based at a brand-new, state-of-the-art design and manufacturing facility. Working closely with the Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of systems engineers, ensuring excellence across all phases of project execution.

Systems Engineering is at the heart of the business, and you will have the opportunity to help shape key processes without the bureaucracy often found in larger organizations. Given the electrical focus of the product range, a strong appreciation of electrical engineering is essential.

This role is a 50-50 split between technical work and leadership, and we welcome applications from experienced professionals as well as those ready to step into a leadership role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead engineering projects for complex, integrated delivery systems involving sensor arrays, communication networks, software applications, and related processes.
  • Drive systems engineering excellence, working with third-party suppliers/partners and internal teams, including electronics, software, and mechanical engineers, throughout all project phases.
  • Take ownership of factory acceptance testing.
  • Collaborate with project managers to define system specifications, test plans, and procedures.

What You’ll Need:

  • Experience in systems engineering, working across design, manufacturing, and testing of electromechanical systems.
  • A strong electrical engineering background.
  • A degree in electronics or a related field (preferred).

If you’re looking for an opportunity to work on cutting-edge renewable energy technology, influence key engineering processes, and take the next step in your leadership journey, this role could be for you!
